Fender ships the pro junior iv with groove tubes so you don t need to budget for a tube upgrade. These features truly earn the pro junior iv its pro title. This larger cabinet actually weighs less than the smaller stock cab due to pine and birch construction so even if adding a heavier speaker. We ve always felt that the biggest limitation to the pro junior was the 1x10 particle board cabinet.

Features the pro junior iv features a 15 watt tube circuit driven by a pair of el 84 power tubes and two 12ax7 preamp tubes with a solid state rectifier. In this case i feel like a 10 would sound spectacular in a blues junior cab whereas the 12 speaker never quite does it for me in a blues junior. From the factory the pro jr should have came with either an 8 speaker like a high powered champ or came in the blues junior box and the the blues junior should have either came with a 10. We ve gotten some really great feedback on this upgrade for the pro jr.
